SSRIENDOC113

SSRIENDOC113 is a Huawei OSN 1500B system, supplied as a configured node rather than as individual cards. Buying at this level means the shelf, its control and cross-connect, its power arrangement and a defined set of interfaces arrive as one item.

Worth knowing: Huawei publishes the same specification for several part numbers in this family. SSRENGDOCV1R10, SSRIENGDOC11 carry an identical published specification to this one, and we would rather tell you that than imply a difference that the documentation does not support.

In practice the distinction between part numbers like these is usually one of three things: a hardware revision, where the later code supersedes the earlier one and is the sensible choice for a new purchase but not necessarily for matching an installed shelf; a regional or market variant; or a packaging difference, such as whether installation materials are included. None of those is visible from the specification, and all three matter when the part is going into equipment that already exists. For a spare, matching the installed hardware exactly is what counts, and the part number on the card in the slot is the authoritative answer rather than the original order. Tell us which you are doing and we will identify the right one of the set rather than the one that happens to be listed first.

What to settle before ordering a complete system. The power feed available at the site and whether there is battery behind it; whether the configuration is protected; the interfaces the traffic actually needs now and in a few years; and the licences, because on Huawei transmission platforms capacity and ports are frequently licensed separately from the hardware that provides them. A node physically capable of a rate it is not licensed for looks like a fault and is not one. Tell us the site, the traffic and the availability you have promised and we will configure it properly, including the licences and the installation materials that are easy to leave off a quote.

Green Code Technologies supplies Huawei transmission hardware, including line and tributary boards, cross-connect and control cards, optics and the shelves they go in. We are a supplier of Huawei alongside HPE, Dell, Cisco, Samsung and Netgear, and we would rather confirm a part against Huawei’s own documentation than sell you the wrong one, which on OSN 1500B equipment is worth doing. Send us the platform, the subrack and the software release and we will come back with a straight answer.
