SLFBASICV06 is a software item for the Huawei RTN 310, at V100R006. Nothing physical ships; this is an entitlement applied to equipment you have or are buying.

This is the basic software package, licensed per host. It is the software the equipment needs in order to run at all, as distinct from a feature licence that adds a capability. Because it is licensed per host, a node with several subracks needs one for each rather than one for the site. That is a common and expensive miscount when a multi-shelf node is quoted, and it is the sort of gap that makes two quotes look very different for no apparent reason.

It is stated against V100R006. Huawei software is versioned by release train, and the entitlement, the feature licences and the hardware support all have to agree on the same train. A mismatch does not usually produce a clean error; it produces a feature that will not enable or an upgrade that will not proceed.

The upgrade question worth asking before you buy anything. On transmission equipment the running software release gates more than people expect: which boards are supported, which features can be licensed, and which optics are recognised. A node held back on an old release because nobody wanted to risk the upgrade will refuse new hardware that is otherwise perfectly compatible, and the symptom looks like a hardware incompatibility rather than a software one. If you are planning an expansion, settle the release first and buy the boards against it.

The RTN 310 is a Huawei microwave platform, and its lifecycle status is genuinely unclear. Huawei’s RTN line as a whole is still an active product family, but the position of this particular model could not be established: Huawei’s lifecycle database sits behind a login and model-level end-of-sale and end-of-support dates are not published openly.

So this page will not tell you the platform is current and will not tell you it is finished, because neither can be checked from outside. If that distinction matters to your purchase, and on microwave it often does because licensed-band links tend to live for a decade, ask us to confirm it with Huawei before you commit.
