SLBMSITE96 is a Huawei microwave indoor unit for the RTN 980, supplied as a configured shelf rather than a bare chassis. The indoor unit sits in the equipment room and does the traffic work: it presents the customer interfaces, switches the Ethernet and TDM traffic, and drives the radio units on the tower over the intermediate-frequency cable.

Installation materials are included, worth noting because they are often a separate line item and the first thing cut when quotes are compared side by side. Removing them does not make the install cheaper; it moves the cost to the day the engineer is on site without the cabling and earthing kit.

Note that this configuration is designated for the India market.
