LSL9MPLS05 is a software licence for the Huawei RTN 910, not a physical item. Nothing is shipped: a key is issued and applied to equipment you already have, usually through the network management system.

This is a feature licence, enabling a specific capability on equipment that already has the hardware for it. What it unlocks depends on the platform and the software release, so the first thing to establish is what is already enabled rather than what was originally ordered.

How to check what you already have. Feature and capacity licences accumulate on transmission equipment over the years and are rarely documented well, so the first question is whether this is already enabled. The equipment itself reports its licence state through the network management system, and that reading is authoritative in a way purchase records are not. Doing it before buying avoids paying for a licence that is already applied, which is a common way to spend money and change nothing.

The RTN 910 is a Huawei microwave platform, and its lifecycle status is genuinely unclear. Huawei’s RTN line as a whole is still an active product family, but the position of this particular model could not be established: Huawei’s lifecycle database sits behind a login and model-level end-of-sale and end-of-support dates are not published openly.

So this page will not tell you the platform is current and will not tell you it is finished, because neither can be checked from outside. If that distinction matters to your purchase, and on microwave it often does because licensed-band links tend to live for a decade, ask us to confirm it with Huawei before you commit.

Two further constraints apply. A licence is issued against a specific piece of equipment and generally cannot be moved, so if the unit is replaced or fails the licence does not follow it, which matters when planning spares. And licences are usually tied to a software release range, so equipment you then upgrade may need the licence revisited at the same time.
