LIC-SVN-01-SSL-40000

LIC-SVN-01-SSL-40000 is SSL VPN concurrent user capacity for the Huawei SVN series, sized at 40,000 concurrent users. The SVN series is Huawei’s dedicated SSL VPN gateway line.

It sets how many remote users may be connected through the SVN gateway simultaneously. Concurrent rather than named, so the figure to size against is your peak.

This is a capacity licence rather than a subscription. It does not expire and it does not need renewing: the hardware is already capable of the work, and what you are buying is the entitlement to use more of it. Two practical notes. These generally stack, so tell us the total you need to reach rather than the gap you think you are filling. And capacity licences are tied to the appliance, so if the box is replaced the entitlement does not automatically follow it — worth checking before a hardware refresh rather than after.

Where this platform stands. The SVN series is no longer in Huawei’s current catalogue, which now runs to nothing directly — Huawei names no successor to the SVN gateways, and SSL VPN now generally sits on the firewalls themselves. We could not retrieve a published end-of-sale or end-of-support date for it: Huawei keeps its lifecycle database behind a login, so we can tell you the product has gone from the catalogue but not the day it went. If the exact dates matter — and for a compliance audit or an insurance question they usually do — say so and we will get them confirmed through Huawei directly.

None of that means the part is useless. Plenty of these appliances are still in service and still doing their job, and keeping an existing deployment running is a perfectly good reason to buy. It does mean we would rather sell you this with the lifecycle position on the table than without it.

Green Code Technologies supplies Huawei security hardware and licensing. Tell us the appliance model, its software version and what is currently licensed on it, and we will confirm whether this part number fits — and whether a current-generation alternative would cost less over the life of the deployment than extending what you have.
