LAR0DATAE06 is a Huawei AR router licence. It is software rather than hardware, so nothing ships: a key or entitlement is applied to equipment you already have. The catalogue describes it as AR3600 Value-Added Data Package.

Before you go any further: this licence is for a platform the vendor no longer supports. Huawei has published end-of-life bulletins covering this AR generation, and the platform is absent from Huawei’s current router catalogue. We have left the listing up because people do still search for these part numbers, usually while working out what they have or what to do about it, and a page that tells you the truth is more use than a dead link.

What that means in practice. The licence may still function on equipment already running, because a perpetual licence does not stop working when support ends. What you cannot get is a software fix, a security patch, a hardware replacement under contract, or help from the vendor when something breaks. On anything carrying traffic that matters, or anything exposed to a network you do not control, that is the real risk rather than the licence itself.

One thing to be careful about with Huawei AR part numbers. Huawei reused the AR number space across generations, and the result is genuinely confusing: the AR1200, AR2200, AR3200 and AR3600 belong to the older AR G3 generation and are gone from Huawei’s catalogue, while the AR600, AR650, AR6100, AR6200, AR6300 and AR8000 are current products sold today as NetEngine AR. The numbers look similar and the status is opposite. It is also worth knowing that Huawei’s end-of-life notices for this range are titled “for Some Huawei AR Series Routers” — they retire specific part numbers rather than whole families, so no bulletin ever licenses the claim that an entire AR family is dead.
