The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR588 (SKU: LENOVOSR588004) is a 2U rack server designed for enterprise and SMB data center workloads. It belongs to the SR500 series and targets virtualization, storage services, and general-purpose IT infrastructure.
This configuration uses an Intel Xeon Bronze 3204 processor (6 cores, 1.90 GHz) with 32GB TruDDR4 memory. As a result, it delivers reliable entry-level compute performance. In addition, the platform supports up to 2× Intel Xeon Scalable processors and scales memory up to 1TB across 16 DIMM slots. Therefore, it allows efficient scaling for growing workloads.
The system provides flexible storage architecture. It supports 8× 2.5″ hot-swap drive bays in this configuration. Moreover, the SR588 platform supports up to 16× 2.5″ or 12× 3.5″ drives with NVMe capability via AnyBay technology. This enables mixing SAS, SATA, and NVMe drives in the same system. As a result, it improves deployment flexibility and storage performance.
