HPE Aruba R0X29A CX 6405 96×GE PoE+ 4×SFP56 Modular Switch

The HPE Aruba R0X29A CX 6405 Switch is a modular Layer 3 switch. It is part of the Aruba CX 6400 series and is designed for enterprise campus, aggregation, and data center networks.

The switch provides 96 × 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports. Each port supports up to 30W PoE, making it ideal for powering access points, IP phones, and IoT devices. It also includes 4 × SFP56 uplink ports, supporting speeds of 1/10/25/50G for high-speed connectivity.

This model is built on a modular 6405 chassis architecture. It includes a management module, fan trays, and line cards, allowing flexible expansion and scalability.

The R0X29A is designed for access, aggregation, and core roles. It supports modern campus fabric and data center architectures, including spine-leaf deployments.

The switch runs on the Aruba AOS-CX operating system. It supports advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, including VLAN, QoS, IPv4/IPv6 routing, BGP, OSPF, VRF, VXLAN, and EVPN.

It delivers high-performance switching capacity up to 14–28 Tbps (platform dependent). This ensures low latency and high throughput for demanding environments.

The R0X29A includes Aruba Network Analytics Engine (NAE). This provides real-time monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting capabilities.

From a hardware perspective, the switch supports redundant power supplies and fan modules (sold separately). It ensures high availability and continuous operation in enterprise environments.

⚠️ Note: This model is End-of-Life (EOL), with support available until 2031.
