C1-N9K-C9364C – Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Platform

Take full advantage of the automated, policy-based system management method of Nexus 9364C based on cloud-scale technology.  This 2RU switch supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 non-blocking through aggregation 12.  The bandwidth of 64 fixed 40/100G QSFP28 ports and 2 fixed 1/10G SFP+ ports is 84 Tbps.  By choosing to run on Cisco NX-OS or application-centric infrastructure (ACI) mode, the switch is ideal for enterprise and service provider applications and cloud environments.

The platform is based on Cisco® Cloud Scale technology and supports cost-effective ultra-high-density cloud-scale deployment with wire-speed security and telemetry, more endpoints and cloud services.  The platform is built on a modern system architecture and aims to provide high performance and meet the evolving needs of highly scalable data centers and growing companies.  The product is designed to support innovative technologies such as media access control security (MACsec). virtual extensible LAN (VXLAN), tunnel endpoint VTEP to VTEP overlay encryption, CloudSec, and stream statistics export (SSX).

MACsec is a security technology that allows traffic encryption at the physical layer and provides secure server, border leaf and leaf-to-backbone connections.

SSX is hardware-based and includes a module that reads statistical information from the ASIC and sends it to a remote server for analysis. Through this application, users can better understand network performance without affecting the switch control plane or CPU.  Cisco provides two operating modes for the Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches.

Organizations can use Cisco NX-OS software to deploy switches in a standard Cisco Nexus switch environment (NX-OS mode).  Organizations can also deploy infrastructure that is ready to support the Cisco application-centric infrastructure (Cisco ACI™) platform to take full advantage of policy-based automation, system management methods (Cisco ACI model).
