The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 8 (SKU: US-8) is a compact and fully managed Layer 2 switch designed for small office, enterprise edge, and home network deployments. It provides reliable Gigabit connectivity with flexible power options and UniFi centralized management.
This switch features 8× Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports, delivering high-speed wired connectivity for desktops, access points, IP cameras, and other network devices. It supports non-blocking throughput up to 8 Gbps, ensuring smooth data transfer across all ports.
The US-8 includes PoE input on one port and PoE passthrough on another port. As a result, it can be powered via PoE and simultaneously power a single downstream device (up to ~12W depending on input power).
The switch is managed through the UniFi Network Controller. It enables centralized configuration, monitoring, and analytics. In addition, it supports advanced Layer 2 features such as VLANs, QoS, link aggregation (LACP), spanning tree protocols, and port isolation.
The device features a compact, fanless design, ensuring silent operation. It can be deployed on a desktop, wall-mounted, or integrated into small network setups.
Unlike PoE switches with multiple powered ports, this model is primarily a non-PoE switch with PoE passthrough capability. Therefore, it is best suited for lightweight deployments where minimal PoE is required.
This switch is ideal for small offices, retail environments, and edge networking scenarios that require compact size, silent operation, and UniFi ecosystem integration.
