The Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 10X (SKU: ES-10X) is a compact, fully managed Layer 2 Gigabit switch designed for SMB, enterprise edge, and WISP deployments. It provides reliable switching performance in a small form factor, making it ideal for space-constrained environments.
This switch features 8× Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports for high-speed wired connectivity. In addition, it includes 2× Gigabit SFP ports. Therefore, it supports fiber uplinks for extended network connectivity and integration into larger infrastructures.
The ES-10X runs EdgeSwitch firmware, offering advanced Layer 2 switching capabilities such as VLANs, QoS, link aggregation (LACP), port isolation, and spanning tree protocols. As a result, it enables efficient traffic management and network segmentation.
For management, the switch supports both a web-based GUI and a command-line interface (CLI). Therefore, it allows flexible configuration and monitoring in professional networking environments.
The device features a compact, fanless design. As a result, it operates silently and is suitable for desktop, wall-mounted, or enclosure installations.
Unlike PoE models, the ES-10X does not provide PoE output. Therefore, it is ideal for deployments where powered devices are not required, or external PoE solutions are used.
