This router features 5× Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports. As a result, it supports flexible WAN and LAN configurations. It includes an integrated switch chip with hardware offloading. Therefore, it improves performance for local traffic and routing tasks while maintaining low CPU usage.
The ER-X supports 24V passive PoE input on one port and configurable PoE passthrough on another port. As a result, it can be powered via PoE and supply power to compatible Ubiquiti devices such as airMAX radios or access points.
The device runs EdgeOS. It supports advanced routing protocols such as static routing, OSPF, and BGP. In addition, it provides features including NAT, VLAN segmentation, QoS, firewall policies, and VPN services. Therefore, it enables secure and flexible network management.
