The Ubiquiti UISP Router (SKU: UISP-R) is a compact edge router designed for wireless ISP (WISP) and small network deployments. It integrates routing, switching, and PoE capabilities in a single device, making it suitable for subscriber sites and edge connectivity.
This router features 4× Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports. One port functions as the WAN interface, while the remaining ports provide LAN connectivity. It supports 24V passive PoE output on select ports. As a result, it can directly power compatible Ubiquiti airMAX and UISP devices without external injectors.
The UISP-R runs UISP firmware, which integrates with the Ubiquiti UISP platform for centralized device management. Therefore, it enables remote configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates across distributed networks.
The device supports essential Layer 3 routing features, including NAT, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall policies. As a result, it provides secure and efficient traffic management for edge deployments.
