The Cisco Nexus 9500 platform, which is part of the Nexus 9000 series, provides three modular options: Cisco Nexus 9504 with 4 slots, Cisco Nexus 9508 with 8 slots, and Cisco Nexus 9516 with 16 slots switch. All three switches use the same manager, system controller, power supply, and line cards. The Cisco Nexus 9500 platform consists of Layer 2 and Layer 3 non-blocking Ethernet switches with a maximum backplane bandwidth of 115. 2 megabits per second (Tbps).
