The ASUS DSL-AC52U (SKU: DSL-AC52U) is a dual-band VDSL/ADSL modem router designed for home and small office broadband environments. It integrates DSL modem functionality with wireless routing, making it suitable for ADSL, VDSL, and Ethernet WAN deployments.
This device supports WiFi 5 (802.11ac) with combined speeds up to 733 Mbps. It delivers up to 433 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. As a result, it provides stable performance for browsing, streaming, and light multi-device usage.
The router supports VDSL2, ADSL2/2+, and ADSL standards. Therefore, it ensures compatibility with most DSL service providers. In addition, it supports Ethernet WAN and even 3G/4G backup via USB. This enables flexible deployment across DSL and non-DSL environments.
For wired connectivity, the DSL-AC52U includes Gigabit Ethernet ports with hardware NAT acceleration. As a result, it supports high WAN-to-LAN throughput close to Gigabit speeds. It also includes a USB 2.0 port for printer sharing and network storage.
The router uses ASUS AiRadar beamforming technology. Therefore, it improves wireless coverage and signal stability across different client devices. It also supports multiple operation modes, including modem router, wireless router, and access point.
