The Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD Router (SKU: AFi-R) is a high-performance dual-band WiFi router designed for residential and small office environments. It functions as the primary router unit within the AmpliFi HD mesh ecosystem, delivering strong wireless coverage and simplified network management.
This device supports WiFi 5 (802.11ac) with combined speeds up to AC1750. It provides up to 1300 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 450 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. As a result, it ensures reliable performance for streaming, gaming, and multi-device connectivity.
The AFi-R uses a high-power antenna system with beamforming technology. Therefore, it improves signal strength, coverage, and stability across connected devices. It can operate as a standalone router or as part of a mesh system with AmpliFi mesh points.
For wired connectivity, the router includes 4× Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 1× Gigabit WAN port. This enables stable wired connections for local devices and high-speed internet access.
