The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR550 (SKU: LENOVOSR550001) is a 2U rack server designed for enterprise and SMB environments. It belongs to the SR500 series and supports virtualization, collaboration platforms, and general-purpose workloads.
This configuration uses an Intel Xeon Bronze 3204 processor with 16GB TruDDR4 memory. As a result, it delivers reliable entry-level compute performance. In addition, the platform supports up to 2× Intel Xeon Scalable processors and scales memory up to 768GB across 12 DIMM slots. Therefore, it enables efficient workload scaling and system expansion.
The system provides flexible storage architecture. It supports 8× 3.5″ hot-swap drive bays in this configuration. Moreover, the SR550 platform supports up to 16× 2.5″ or 12× 3.5″ drives, including SAS and SATA configurations. It also supports M.2 drives for OS boot. This improves storage flexibility and deployment efficiency.
For storage control, this SKU supports Lenovo RAID controllers such as 530-8i and 730-8i. As a result, it enables hardware RAID for data protection and performance optimization.
