The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR588 (SKU: LENOVOSR588001) is a 2U rack server designed for enterprise and SMB data center workloads. It belongs to the SR500 series and targets virtualization, storage services, and general-purpose IT infrastructure.
This configuration uses an Intel Xeon Bronze 3204 processor with 32GB TruDDR4 memory. As a result, it delivers reliable entry-level compute performance. In addition, the platform supports up to 2× Intel Xeon Scalable processors and scales memory up to 1TB across 16 DIMM slots. Therefore, it enables efficient scaling as workloads grow.
The system provides structured storage capability. It supports up to 8× 3.5″ hot-swap drive bays in this configuration and ships without pre-installed disks. Moreover, the SR588 platform supports up to 16× 2.5″ or 12× 3.5″ drives, including NVMe via AnyBay technology. This improves deployment flexibility and storage performance.
For storage control, this SKU includes a Lenovo 530i RAID controller. As a result, it enables hardware RAID functionality for data protection and optimized storage operations.
